One of those days

Was very lazy today just sat around watching movies and knitting. I have the lower back done on my Owls cardigan, one sleeve, and am started on the second sleeve. As I was working the first sleeve a realized that I was going to need more yarn, I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't, but knew I would. I went to the yarn store and of course they didn't have any of the right color currently. The store took down the color and will call me when it gets in. I was proud of myself for walking out of there with out anything for the second time. They was some beautiful deep plum purple yarn, my current favorite color, and a nice green in the same yarn the I was looking for. I knew I shouldn't buy it because I will not have the needles to work with it till I'm done with Owls. I also think I should work on some little projects for a while like socks. Time to start using up all that sock yarn that I have.

I was trying to figure out what would be my next project today.

What are we making

Hanged out with my friend tonight. We went to dinner on the campus. After we when back to her place and made some dough for something that she is making for her party tomorrow. We mixed a lot of flour with a lot of butter and a very little bit of water to make this dough. I was doubting that is was going to work, but it looked ok in the end will have to wait and see what it is made into tomorrow. When we were finished we watched a little more a an Bollywood movie that we had started early this week. I think it will take us a week or more to finish the three hour long movie a the rate that we watch it. Lots of laughing and fun tonight.

My week had been pretty long and

Indian food

I was very lazy today. I slept into 10 and then just laid around and watched movies. I started to knit a new octopus, I go the idea for it while I was at work. It is red and white and has a spot on it head.

Board game night

Nessie

After finishing up to row 79 of the body last night I have gotten pretty far this evening. My plan was to have it finished by tonight, well that is not going to happen. I had a lot of fun with the kitchener stitch from hell, 66 stitches to sew together. After that I got the two fount fins on. I noticed that it looked a little funny, but didn't thinks to much of it. While working on the first of the back fins I notice that it looked different from front one. They are going two different directions. I need to learn to read the pattern more carefully, like the part where it says to work the pattern the other way for the fin on the other side.

What I did today

1. After waking up I finished an knitted octopus from Amiqurumi Knits that I had started a long while back and never finished.

Pinhole

This lovely pinhole photo was made by Justin Quinnell. It was taken over a 6 month period. I found this image and other long term exposure pinhole photos while using stumble this evening with my dad. More cool photos at the itchyi. All of these make me want to make a pinhole camera again or just take pictures period. I have been looking at the baby prop knitted items on ravelry because my friend that is having the baby. She has always liked the Anne Geddes sleeping baby picture and I like it would fun to try to take photos like that.

Tiny Fun

I staid up late last night knit and them wake-up early this morning and knitted some more. I'm now done with the front of the vest. I followed the pattern and knitted 50 rows before binding-off for the arms, but I ended up pulling back down to 39 rows. I felt it was just too long at 50 rows under the arm. It looks more like a vest now and less like a dress, giving that I don't know the gender of the baby yet.

Knitting bug

I've got the knitting bug again. I finish one project and have to start the next.

Need to sleep

I have been tired the last three nights and I have told myself that I need to go to sleep early. This has not happen once these three nights and here it is late again and I'm still awake.

Shopping day

Did a little bit of shopping today. I got new jeans, two different leggings, and a Wildcat hoodie.

Knitting while tired

Knitting late at night is not a good thing for me to do. I make a lot of mistakes and just end up taking it all out the next day. I'm starting my Annis shawl over for the third time. The first start over was because I mussed up S2KP part and I didn't like the lace weight yarn.

It is late and my foot is hurting. My evening has disappeared and have done nothing.

What I did today

Warm

There is something wrong with the air conditioning at the house I am watching right now. It is some where in the mid 80's in here. I'm warm even under a fan. So what do I do when I'm warm, knit. I knit some more on my cardigan. It is midway down my waist right now. I'm guessing I have about another 6 inches to go. The only thing is I'm starting to run out of yarn which is weird there should be more to it. I made two hats out of it, but I don't think there was anything else. I was going to take apart the hats and use them for the sleeves, but it is looking like I may need them to finish the body.
