It is hard to get ready for Halloween and thing about Christmas stuff going up at work when it is still in the 90s to 80s outside. I see all the fall/winter things and want them, but know I will not be wearing them for a while yet. At home I want to make big cabled sweaters and blankets. I worked a little bit on my Hoots cardigan tonight. I got done with all the increases and now I just have to knit 5 or so inches for the back. It really is a fast cardigan to make because the yarn is so big and it will go a faster this time to make because I already have all the yarn that I need and don't have to wait for it to came in.

All I seem to be lately is tired. I almost fell asleep watching a movie this evening and thought about going to sleep at 8, but I ended up staying up. I bought things for baking today at work. My evening are feeling very long now that the sun is setting earlier. I did a little knitting on my cardigan. I have to the top of the owls heads done, only have a little bit more to go. I finally went on a run when I couldn't knit any more. My legs have been hurting me the last week and they feel better if I go for my runs. After my run I have been sitting on the computer looking at food to make. I have three things that I would like to try pumpkin scones, apple bread, and peace cookies. For the first two I would have to buy things to make them, but I have everything that I would need to make the peace cookies. Have a day off coming soon, I think I am going to make something.

My legs hurt, I'm tired, and still up. I have been rushing around all day. First I wake up this morning when I was to leave for work, so I had to run around real fast and get out of the house in a few minute. I rushed around work doing many different things and staying longer. Came home and went out again to return my movies to Redbox because I left them at home when I want to work. I did get to sit this evening, I have been knitting my Owl cardigan. I had to rework the sleeves 5 times, but they are right know. I have them join with the body of the cardigan and have knitted a few rows. If I keep working on it I will have it done by the end of the this weekend.

Lately things have not been going the way the way that I want them to. Time has been going so fast and nothing has been getting down. Things that I tell myself that I'm going to do just sit there. I have not been keeping up with things, been tired all the time, redoing the sleeves of the cardigan that I am working on like five times, not going for my runs. Yesterday like more days lately speed by. I didn't get to nearly to all the things that I wanted to do. Today I finally finished my book, Hot Under the Collar. It was an old book of mine that I had and so I read it again. Today had just been one long day. Work was very slow and bored which is nice in some ways and not in others. I had to fix a problem with my debit card after I got off of work. That took sometime first getting to the bank, then fixing the problem, and then fixing the problem that was caused by this. So by the time I finally got home all I wanted to do was lay on my bed and read my book. It is a retelling of Beauty and the Beast I had read it a long time ago and have really been wanting to reread it again since it came here from home in my box of books. I had some yummy Chinese take-out and have been knitting, listing to my Pandora. While think of what to make next I'm working on a baby blanket that I think I started over two years ago.

Went with my friend to the campus for a Latin Dancing meet-up event that she heard about. We had some fun trying to find the building that neither of use have ever been to. We each dance with this old guy that was there, my friend know how to do salsa was better than me. I was losing track of the court on the steps and just wanted to do my own thing. Was very lazy today just sat around watching movies and knitting. I have the lower back done on my Owls cardigan, one sleeve, and am started on the second sleeve. As I was working the first sleeve a realized that I was going to need more yarn, I was kind of hoping that I wouldn't, but knew I would. I went to the yarn store and of course they didn't have any of the right color currently. The store took down the color and will call me when it gets in. I was proud of myself for walking out of there with out anything for the second time. They was some beautiful deep plum purple yarn, my current favorite color, and a nice green in the same yarn the I was looking for. I knew I shouldn't buy it because I will not have the needles to work with it till I'm done with Owls. I also think I should work on some little projects for a while like socks. Time to start using up all that sock yarn that I have.

Hanged out with my friend tonight. We went to dinner on the campus. After we when back to her place and made some dough for something that she is making for her party tomorrow. We mixed a lot of flour with a lot of butter and a very little bit of water to make this dough. I was doubting that is was going to work, but it looked ok in the end will have to wait and see what it is made into tomorrow. When we were finished we watched a little more a an Bollywood movie that we had started early this week. After finishing up to row 79 of the body last night I have gotten pretty far this evening. My plan was to have it finished by tonight, well that is not going to happen. I had a lot of fun with the kitchener stitch from hell, 66 stitches to sew together. After that I got the two fount fins on. I noticed that it looked a little funny, but didn't thinks to much of it. While working on the first of the back fins I notice that it looked different from front one. They are going two different directions. I need to learn to read the pattern more carefully, like the part where it says to work the pattern the other way for the fin on the other side.

This lovely pinhole photo was made by Justin Quinnell. It was taken over a 6 month period. I found this image and other long term exposure pinhole photos while using stumble this evening with my dad. More cool photos at the itchyi. All of these make me want to make a pinhole camera again or just take pictures period. I have been looking at the baby prop knitted items on ravelry because my friend that is having the baby. She has always liked the Anne Geddes sleeping baby picture and I like it would fun to try to take photos like that.

I staid up late last night knit and them wake-up early this morning and knitted some more. I'm now done with the front of the vest. I followed the pattern and knitted 50 rows before binding-off for the arms, but I ended up pulling back down to 39 rows. I felt it was just too long at 50 rows under the arm. It looks more like a vest now and less like a dress, giving that I don't know the gender of the baby yet.

There is something wrong with the air conditioning at the house I am watching right now. It is some where in the mid 80's in here. I'm warm even under a fan. So what do I do when I'm warm, knit. I knit some more on my cardigan. It is midway down my waist right now. I'm guessing I have about another 6 inches to go. The only thing is I'm starting to run out of yarn which is weird there should be more to it. I made two hats out of it, but I don't think there was anything else. I was going to take apart the hats and use them for the sleeves, but it is looking like I may need them to finish the body.

It has been raining the past three hours, I love it. I love the sound of the pitter-patter of the rain and the cool feel of the drops on me.

I took so nice photos of the storm coming in. All the colors of everything was beautiful, the mountains were a shade of pink that I had never seen them before and the sunset was a gorgeous yellow.

During the monsoon I have been knitting my Shalom cardigan. I have been double checking my work as I go because I don't want to make any mistakes like I did the first few nights I was working on it. I'm to just under the arms, to the easy part of just stockinette stitch.

After finishing my mittens and head band I have been in the mood to knit more. I have been try figure out what I wanted to knit next. I wanted to make something big, not just a little thing like the mittens. I also want to use up the yarn that I have even though I really want to go out and buy some nice expensive yarn. I decide to make a Shalom cardigan from Involving the Senses. I have made one of these before for my mom, but I had done some mods to the pattern and she said the arm hole were too small for her so I have to redo it. I had this bulky multicolored purple that I started to make a cowl with a long time ago and didn't like how it was coming out. I took that apart and started to knit the cardigan with it. I still don't know if I'm going to make it have selves or not yet, I was thinking not.

I went through my books today. I have a few that I have been meaning to get rid of for a while and I felt like this evening would be the night that I went through them. While after a while I had lots of books laying around on the ground and I started to have a really bad headache. I felt like stopping and laying down, but once you start a project like this you can't stop and leave the mess. I thought there would be a lot of books to be gotten rid of. There ended up being a lot of books that I don't remember or that I haven't read yet, so I put them in a drawer together to read through later.

Baking day

I really wanted to bake something today. I when through all of my recipes and had about ten that looked good. I knew that I couldn't make everything that I wanted to so I decides on two different cookies and Mexican egg rolls. I didn't cook them yet, I rapped them all up and put them in the freezer for later.

After making the egg rolls I was cleaning up and notice that there was a pool of water on the floor in front of my sink. One of the pipes is not longer connected together and when the sink is draining the water just comes out of it. I called my landlord and she is going try to get some one to come out tomorrow. Since I didn't want to have a lot a dirty dishes laying around tomorrow when they come to work on the sink I only make one thinks of cookies. I was going to make Cinnabon Roll Cookies, but I forgot to write one of the ingredients down. What I ended up with was not going to make a cookie so I added two eggs and some baking powder. So in the end I ended up with my own recipe.

I have been working the past eight days straight and I now have the next two days off. I'm very excited about this. I can finally do things like rest, making things, and baking. I have been wanting to bake something again since I made cookies earlier this week. So far everything that I have try baking has come out good and other people really like them. I'm also going to finish my mittens. I almost have one done. I would like to go to the yarn store and buy some nice yarn for some things that I would like to make, but that could cost a lot of money which I don't currently have much of. I can also take time read my book. I has been hard to get into it with the little reading here and there that I have been doing. Just sitting and reading it would be really nice to do. I also have a few books that I also want to read, so I would like to finish it.

What do you do when it is a 100+ outside. I decided to knit and bake cookies. I started making fluffy white mittens from Villaelain.

While doing that I made some Chocolave cookies Dabble. The dough was too warm to try to row in to balls even after I put it into the fridge to try to cool it. I ended up getting the dough all over my hands, but I still had enough for all 24 cookie.

Started reading The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo today. It took me a while to get into it. I had to get past the per story and then the Swedish names. Now that I'm in farther I'm like it. After reading some I decided to knit something. I know it is weird to want to something in the middle of summer, but I have been wanting to for a while. I am making a headband out of this white fluffy yarn that I have.

I have been a little lazy about my running this past week, so I'm not going to let little rain stop me tonight. I wanted to finish my book when I came home, I only had 30 pages left. After that I had to eat supper still and I don't like to run right after that. After that it was already raining. I love the rain and it was only a soft rain, not pouring or anything. It was refreshing and quiet with no one else out. I really enjoyed it, I will have to do it again. I made me want to listen to my favorite song I'm Only Happy When it Rains. I'm liking having more time to read, I have not been sitting down and reading so much like I use to and books were taking me a while to get through. I'm currently reading a new book called Bad Things Happen. It sounds like a self help book title to me, but it is a mystery story. Going to go do some reading now.

5. I spent my evening watching Dirty Jobs. I learned some new things about camels like they use car oil to help the cuts on their pads on their stomachs and legs and the foam up and let their tongues hang out when the males are turned on.

Cleaning it out

Today was a day of rest and cleaning. First I rested watching my Netflix movies because I didn't feel that great this morning. I also read some more of my current book, Jane Slayer, Jane Eyre with vampires. The redone story is going so much faster that the original because I don't have to get through all the old English. I love this story and am not wanted to stop reading it. After all of this rest I didn't some cleaning in my room. The main problem in my room is the clothes. After all the clothes at work you don't want to come home and dill with your own. So I have let things go and once you do this is hard to get everything back to clean. I went through my clothes getting rid of the things that don't fit me any more. I have a nice pile going. I still have work to do on it, but I feel I am going better at going through things, cleaning, and keeping it that way.

I have tomorrow off and can't figure out what I want to do with it. I was thinking of going to Trader Joe's and getting food, but I don't really need to do that yet. I could cook something, but I think IO should wait a bit to make something new, I have had too many of the scones that I made.
